Neighborhood Easter Experience - Tenebrae Service

Easter is the celebration of Jesus' resurrection!  It recalls that Jesus suffered tremendously and died as a result of a horrible crucifixion, during which He was serving as a substitute for sinful humanity.  But Easter is the greatest of all celebrations because Jesus triumphed over sin, death, and the grave on the third day when He rose again!

As followers of Jesus, we all celebrate Easter.  But rarely do we celebrate it together.  Most churches hold their own services and host their own events.  And sometimes that can leave the impression that there is disunity among us.  

We're not okay with that in North Hickory!  We don't want our neighbors in our neighborhoods to think that we are churches competing against one another!  We want our neighbors in our neighborhoods to know that while there are some small things that make our churches distinct and different, those of us who make up Escalate Church, Grace Covenant, and Lakeview Baptist are all part of one Church and that our desire is to make the name of Jesus and His salvation known in our part of town!

So to prepare for and celebrate Easter this year we are joining together for a Neighborhood Easter Experience!  Three churches coming together three times to make much of the risen Savior.  We want to invite you to come and be a part of three different events that we will be hosting TOGETHER - to help us all remember the sacrifice of our Savior and His powerful resurrection!

A Night of Praise and Worship - Sunday, April 14th at 6:00 PM

Our three churches will gather together on the campus of Escalate Church (3260 6th Street Drive NW) to remember the excitement of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and to celebrate the great King who had come to save!

Tenebrae Service - Friday, April 19th at 6:30 PM

Our three churches will gather together on the campus of Grace Covenant (3710 N. Center Street) for a solemn service to remember and reflect on Jesus' suffering and death on the cross.  We want to remember the extraordinary sacrifice that Jesus made to pay for our sin. 

Sunrise Easter Service - Sunday, April 21st at 7:00 AM

Our three churches will gather together on the campus of Lakeview Baptist (4080 N. Center Street) to celebrate Jesus' incredible victory over sin, death, and the grave!  We will begin our Easter morning TOGETHER - all of us worshiping the risen Savior!
